As the big centar backed off Rhapsody wondered what she should do now. What she didn't realize was that she was already doing something. The emotion was making her lose that paper thin control on her powers. Already her hands were glowing with light. Then they flashes unexpectedly, throwing the whole clearing into bright, bright light. Somehow Rhapsody was immune and could see perfectly but all anyone else would see was whiteness. Rhapsody knew she had lost control of her powers. Now what should she do? Run away since it seemed Sir Laclan was dead? With that thought she looked over at Lachlan and saw him. There was blood on his shoulder. The sight of the blood made her freeze, the light abruptly went dark.

Jared let out a roar and dropped his bow to shield his eyes, a slightly delayed reaction to the blinding light, but it was a reaction afterall. His great body lifted itself, weight shifting back onto his hind legs, as he reared up and away from what he thought was the source of the light. The centaur stumbled away and into a tree, shielding his eyes even when the light failed, his closed eyes still seeing the blinding light.
Trotting carefully through a gap in the trees, the skewbald centaur entered and paused to blink at the scene. Jared was, well, being Jared. A human was laying on the floor with an arrow in his shoulder, presumably asleep since his chest rose and fell gently. And what appeared to be a human girl.
Coming up close behind the female centaur, bounded a small deer-centaur, his fluffy and deer-like ears flicking warily about. The youngster ventured forward a few great, leaping steps, before realising the situation and quickly retreating back behind the female centaur.

Rhapsody could not draw her eyes away from the blood. She could not do anything, just stand there. She did not notice anything around her, it was as if the world had fallen away around her and all that was left was the blood.

The female centaur blinked at the scene once more than necessary before quietly moving forward at a sedate walk, moving around the fallen human to the girl who seemed to have fallen into a dark hole of no thoughts. The youngster that she had left behind made a small noise of protest and reached out toward the older centaur, taking a few hesitant steps forward before quickly moving back - his ears beginning to water.
"Jared, stop being silly." the skewbald centaur murmured, rolling her eyes at him before continueing on her carefuly journey towards the girl. Jared blinked, recognising his real name instantly, as opposed to his petname. After a few seconds he frowned and went quiet, stamping his foot and clenching his fists.

Rhapsody heard something, it seemed so far away. But it was coming closer. This sound brought Rhapsody out of the nightmares and she realized the sound was much closer than she thought. That thing that had killed Lachlan had friends and now they were coming after her! No, she would not let them hurt her to! She took off, trying to follow her origional plan to escape into the town. In the town she would be safe from whatever kind of demons these were!
((She has never seen a centar and is right not in the right state of mind so I am sorry for the insults.))

Half-moon blinked, quite taken aback. Jared frowned a while later at the empty space where Rhapsody should have been, wondering if anything was there before - his mind did hold a little fuzzy image of something being there once, but he couldn't remember what it was. The small youngster took a few steps forward, courage building, before bounding over Tomias and speeding after the girl - he had initially been scared, but fear had led to curiosity and he wanted to know what she was.
(( Lol, s'alright ^___^ I wouldn't have said anything ))

Something was chasing her, she had to run faster! Twig snapped as she rushed by, slowing her down. But she kept running to where she knew the town was. She had to make, she would make it!.

The young centaur gave pursuit, making light work of clearing the odd bushes and ducking the many branches. He soon gained on her, drawing up along side to peer at her face before having to split and go the other side of a tree.

Whatever they were they were right next to her. When they had to seperate around a tree Rhapsody stopped and panted as quietly as she could. Hopefully it would confuse the thing enough to make it go away. Please let it go away and leave her alone.

The youngster continued on, bounding over a bush to get back onto the path Rhapsody had ben running along. It was there he slowed down quickly to a halt, frowning and peering ahead. He was still within sight of her, but his back was turned.

Rhapsody carefully peeked at the...whatever it was. She could try to climb the tree, it did not look like it was made for climbing. But then she would be stuck up there. She couldn't outrun it, and couldn't stay hidden from it for very long. Well, there was always singing. Rhapsody could not control what happened but some thing would happen if she started to sing. Should she risk it? It appeared to be the only thing she could do. So softly she started to sing, her voice growing with streangth as she continued. At first nothing happened but then the wind began to pick up, and pick up. It started to lake the leaves off trees and the undergrowth off the ground. Soon it had grown so strong that even the biggest trees were shaking violently. A smaller one, still of considerable size, fell over. Rhapsody stopped singing but the wind continued to blow strong. She clung to the tree she was beside and kept her wings tight against her back least the wing catch them and drag her away.

The young centaur blinked, ears flicking toward the sound as his head turned. His face took on a look of confusion as the wind picked up around him, it threatenning to carry him away.
"Eh..." he murmured quietly to himself, his eyes beginning to show fear. He lifted his head and threw the girl a wide-eyed look before waving his arms, "Hey! No! Stop!! I don't want to die!! Don't kill me!" he cried, his eyes beginning to water as he was forced to grab onto the nearest tree.
Meanwhile, Half-moon was desperately trying to explain to Jared what Tomias was. She wasn't prevailing, however. It was then she felt a shift in the weather, wind picking up in an area nearby. Her tail flicked as she turned to face the direction it was coming from, a worried look washing over her face just as Jared noticed her turning.

Rhapsody thought she heard the thing chasing her say something but couldn't hear what over the wind. Even if he had said something there was nothing she could do till the wind died down. Well when the wind died the thing chasing her would hopefully leave her alone so as not to cause another wind storm. But till it did all she could do is hold on.

The youngster whimpered and clung to the tree for dear life, his feet slipping away from beneath him as the tree groaned against the wind. Half-moon became increasingly worried, turning toward Jared, "Strong-arm!" she cried, "Little-feet! Save him!"
Jared blinked at her, his mind quickly processing her short words. He gave a short nod before launching forward into a fast-paced canter in the direction she had pointed. His hooves beat steadily against the ground, churning up the leaves. He slowed as the wind increased around him, bracing himself against it.
Eventually, it came to a point where he had to walk, carefully stepping when there was a break in the strong wind whilst his feet stayed firmly planted on the ground during the strong attacks.

The wind was finally dying down. Soon it had stopped completely. Rhapsody peeled herself off the tree and began to running again. If they chased her again she would threaten them with the wind again. Now they would leave her alone, she wouldn't let them get her like they did Lachlan.
