Terasha stood over the counter, making sure the old coin collector, Madrid, didn't give River a bad deal on the old Kurash currency. After all, she needed money. Yes, leave it to a thief to worry about someone keeping their money. She was starting to grow a heart, frightening as it was.
She shook a loose curl, one that had fallen from the ponytail, out of her face. Coins, coins, coins. There were coins everywhere. She noted with a smile that the man didn't yet have any old Kurash coins, for which she was thankful. All the better deal for River.
Madrid handed the group the money, Terasha checking to make sure it was enough. Looked good. "Shall we be off to the beach, then?" she asked, eyebrow raised.

"Thank you very much." River said to the coin collector as she took the money. "Yes lets! I can't wait to be able to go swimming again!" There was no one so lucky as River, she had meet the kindest person in the world who had been looking out for River since River crashed into her. Terasha really was too nice, River would never be free of her debt. Last night River had decided she would do something for Terasha, something that would make Terasha very happy. She wasn't sure yet what she could do but she would find something if it took the rest of her life!

Terasha nodded, "Then off we go." She walked over to the door and got an angry look on her face. Some idiot was just standing there gawking, floundering about. What was he looking at, the dolt? She forcefully grabbed River's arm and tugged. "C'mon, let's get out of here," she sighed, rolling her eyes at the man."

Blake thought he'd seen a naiad. Doubted it, yes, but still thought he'd seen one through the sindows of the old coin shop. So, he'd looked, still thinking it may just've been the lighting. But no. He stood in the door, dumbstruck. It was a naiad, all right, though he'd never expected to see one. Then the girl, the one with the wings and black hair, had tried to drag the water-spirit through the door. This he couldn't let happen. He needed a naiad to cross the Black Waters. An oppurunity like this didn't just happen out of nowhere. So he grabbed the aquatic creature's other arm, the one the girl wasn't holding. "Stop. You're a naiad? I need to talk to you," he hissed, other hand on his double-blade.

"Um, yes I am a Naiad. My name is River Seacurrent can I help you sir?" River had been surprised when someone had grabbed her arm and answered reflexively with good manners. She wondered why this man was so insistant. She then saw him gripping his blade and got a little scared. But she scolded herself saying she had to believe the best in people, trust them. Still this was a rather scary situation and not easy on her nerves. She couldn't even reach the knives her father had made her take for her protection in the Upper World since Terasha had one arm and this man her other.

"I need a naiad for a sea voyage across the Black Waters of Tefenus," he stated bluntly. After all, there was no use in lying. What was was what was, and if he wanted this naiad to some with him he'd need to earn her trust. Even though earning trust wasn't what Blake did best...
"Would you care to come? We'd pay you well, of course, my associates," and by associates he meant Blue and any others she could scrounge up from the dredges of Micae, "and I. After all, a naiad to navigate is essential on a trip like this." He smiled in what he thought was a friendly was, but all it really did was allow his sharp canine teeth to make him look all the more dangerous.
He let go of River's arm. She couldn't run now.

Terasha let go of River's other arm and sighed. Looks like this was going to be.... fun. She'd just have to go. It was to great of an adventure to pass up. And besides, she'd taken River under her wing, no pun intended. If the naiad was going, she'd more than likely need someone to watch out for. It was a wonder to Terasha she'd even made it to Micae in one piece. Yes, the Kurash was definitely going to have to come along.

"Ah well okay! When are you going to leave?" The Black Waters. Why did they want to go there? This man was right to try and find a naiad. River had already been to the Black Waters before going to the Upper World. Her father had taken her there to show her the only part of his kingdom that no naiad lived. She knew things about the Black Waters that she had sworn never to tell others, even if it would save lives.

Blake smiled as kindly as a tiger like himself could. "As soon as possible. My associate," he said associate again, "Is in the proccess of getting together a ship, and possibly a crew. What's your name, by the way?" He asked, cocking an eyebrow.
If the water-spirit was really coming along, just his luck. If not... well, he'd have to find another naiad and it would take even longer to set for sea.

Terasha decided to announce her own plans outright. "If you're coming... I'm coming, too. Besides, I need a little adventure right now. And you need someone to watch your back," she looked at River, "In case you fall over them and they're not to friendly about it." This was, of course, a joke, but it was still a little bit serious. "And I can tell you more about the surface world, I guess. You need someone to do it."
What're you doing, T? she asked herself.

"Well then my sources were correct." A voice said from the behind the group. "You know Terasha if your going to go on some grand adventure that I'm going to so I can watch your back."

Terasha's heart did a backflip. She knew that voice. What are you doing, lovesick idiot! she scolded herself, You know it won't work. She smiled chickenily, trying not to show any... other emotions. "Dre. I'm a big girl now. I can take care of myself, you know." She suddenly felt hot. Hopefully it wasn't making her sweat, too. She didn't have an answer for that sort of thing. She would definitely welcome having the theif king along on the trip... though it may cause some nerves to be completely out of order.

"Yes but I can take care of you even better. Besides, you'd miss me if I weren't there and I'd miss you if you ended up on the bottom of the ocean for the sea critters to eat. Speaking of sea critters whose this? And the tiger man to?" Dre said calmly though inside his heart rate had increased. Why did this happen every time he got near Terasha. Then he remembered what Kora had said in that...disturbing dream he had. 'I'm the goddess of Chaos, what do you think love is?' Was he in love with Terasha! No no! They were just friends, right? Well even if he was in love with her, no saying he was, she would reject him. Especially considering what had happened between her and that Blaire, her previous finacee. No he couldn't tell her about how he really felt, if he really felt that way that is!

"Oh do you two know each other?" River said curiously looking at this new man. She then looked at Terasha. Was it just her or was there a blush on her face? There was, though it was only slight. "Terasha why are you blushing? Are you feeling okay? Do you have a fevor?!"

Terasha laughed. She hoped the sound wasn't as shaky as she felt right now. Blushing? What kind of an idiot was she?! Why would she be blushing? Except for Dre being there. He was even coming along. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea. He's your friend, dammit, FRIEND, she scolded herself. Nothing more. Just a friend. Almost as if to prove it to herself, she answered River's first question. "This is my... friend... Dre, I told you about him, yeah?" She paused a tiny bit before saying the word friend, and when she did she thought she could feel her voice shaking. "And I'm not sick, River... it's just... uh.... kind of hot in here." She mumbled at the end of the sentence. Hot in here? A stupid excuse!
