Standing in front of the small house, Luke sighed. Home sweet home. Stepping inside, he took a deep breath and let it out, all of the smells rushing to him in a matter of seconds. Oh it felt good to be back.
And sleeping in a bed instead of on the ground was nice, too.
Walking through the house, he finally stopped in the kitchen, where he decided to fix dinner. Pulling out the needed ingrediants, he fixed a large slab of steak, and mashed potatoes.
Taking a plate and sitting down, he smiled.

~Nice dinner you have there.~ Came a voice in Luke's head.
~We must talk~ Said another.
The twin goddesses, Vina and Exha, never spoke with words. They could not, it was true, for neither had a mouth or, if there was one, it was small indeed. They always spoke through the minds of others.
It was not very often that these two spoke to mortals. This was the exception. They needed a creature they could trust to travel with Kora's group. Not only did they wish to secure a part in this "great trick" of hers, but the duo also believed that the crew she'd hired needed a few extra people. And who else would they trust, if they could not trust one such as the two's own creations, Messengers? They chose one of these mortals as their target- their target was Luke.
They appeared behind him in their normal looks, clasped hands and solemn, mysterious, emotionless visage. Balance of black and white, light and dark.[/color]

Luke froze. "Good evening, Vina. Good evening, Exha." He greeted his godesses.
"What is it thou wish of me tonight?" He asked. He had just gotten home, and did not wish to leave it anytime soon. He was growing angry. Yes, he may be a mortal servant to his godesses, but that did not mean he did not have human feelings, too.

The goddesses smiled at each other.
~We require a task of you.~ continued Exha.
~Are you familiar, perhaps, with the island of Tyraan?~ asked Vina.
~We need you to be on a ship setting sail from there not too far from now,~ Exha began.
~You will recognise it by the people on it.~ Vina gave to Luke, through his mind, images of the crew of the ship, along with three more who would soon join it. ~This is the adventure of a lifetime.~
~Not the type of thing to pass up,~ added Exha. They both nodded, shifting from their floating positions in the air to land on the ground.

"I am not happy about it, but I shall go." He told them grabbing a pack from a closet. Filling it with needed provisions, he sighed. "I guess I'll leave now then. But really." He shook his head and opened his door, spreading his wings in a fluid motion that lifted him into the air. And away he flew, to the island of Tyraan.

Vina and Exha smiled at one another, then disappeared. They had what they wanted. The twin goddesses were satisfied.
