Mages, Magicians, Witches, and Warlocks all are names for those trained in the use of their magics by various mage schools throughout A'Dense. The largest, the Zendaar Academy, was once in the Kurash nation, but now that it is sunk under the Great Lake which Dymaculus's people have begun to colonize on raft-towns, it is much smaller, and most go to the academy on Lonely Mountain in the West. Mages can will their magic to do exactly what they want it to do, whatever it may be. Mages who cannot handle the schooling many times turn to sorcery.
Sorcerors, on the other hand, need no schooling in their magic. They are usually self-taught or tutored in a much smaller amount of time. However, they can only ask their magic vaguely to do what they want. Sorcerors and sorceresses imagine what they want their magic to do, and the magic provides this in a form it sees fit. Sorceror magic is very uncontrollable and can have much more power and many negative effects. If not kpt in check, sorcerors can also go mad from the power inside them. Those who fear this may try and get schooling to train as a mage. Another reason some become sorcerors is lack of funding for the training it requires to become a mage.
