Xyla's first daughter was called Syra. Syra's beauty was legend, said to rival that even of any goddess, and people still tell tales of her beauty, though none remember anymore exactly what she looked like. Syra not only inherited her mother's beautiful voice, but many of her habits, and began a fierce rivalry between herself and the local women wherever she travelled. She fled with her unborn child to a remote island, where she and those who came after her lived out their days as temptresses luring sailors to the isle. Even after Syra died, her daughters continued what she had begun, and the Sirens became known throughout the A'Dense of their day.
A Siren long after, also named Syra for the first of their kind, fell in love with a traveller on a ship which had come to the island. This man, called Aiden, and Syra returned and wed in the Pirate's Islands, continuing to travel all of A'Dense throughout their lives.
While the Sirens were being banished by the pantheon to an as of yet unknown place, never to return, Syra and Aiden had six children, three sons, three daughters. These were the beginnings of the Auren race.
Each Aure has two last names. The first is a small family name, the second the name of one of Syra and Aiden's children which they are descended from. The following were the children's names, in order of age:
Therefore, these are the six from which all Aures are descended.
Common characteristics of this race include a close tie to arts of all sorts (music, dance, painting, acting, etc.), quick hands, and an insatiable wanderlust.
Aures often tend to travel in small roaming village or family like groups. They excel in performing professions as well as thievery, often doing both.
