Name: Gilean: The Scales of Balance
God of: Neutrality, Balance, Magic
Races who believe in you: Any (mostly those who believe in pure neutrality)
Have a particular goddess you have something for: Undecided
Roleplaying sample:
The room was dark save for one hovering light above an ornately carved, stone desk which spanned a good eight feet across. A man garbed in red robes sat at this desk, pouring over a large tome, reading, continuously reading. The carvings upon the desk were those of all the living creatures upon the world of A'Dense, it seemed to suit well.
The chair he sat on wasn't ornately carved like the desk, though it was made of strong wood and padded with silky red cushions. This was a strange room indeed, especially with the realization that there were multiple scales (balances) all over this chamber.
It was when the man finally stirred from his reading that his features became noticeable. His age was non-descript, untold. He was clean shaven and had dark, near-black hair. His eyes had a deep silvery-blue mixture with an eerie mirror like luster.
As he moved his hand to gently take up his quill and flask of ink, the fair tone could be noticed quite easily. He had, however, the slightest hint of a tan, but it was so faint one could only notice if they pressed themselves close to him. Few were ever allowed this privilege.
Dabbing the quill in ink, he began to write in a new passage to a larger book which had miraculously appeared before him. His writing was quick, clean and clear. the strokes of his quill simply melded with the paper, causing perfect letters to form with every bit of movement. The passage read:
'I, Gilean, God of all true neutralities, have once again read the story of the world documented by Astinus, the ageless mortal. His works are greatly valued to my own, as they complete what few missing pieces I have left.
For the first time in centuries, I have felt a tremor tip the scales ever so slightly. It rattled my bones and shook my soul, making me sick to my stomach. The tremor did cease, fortunately.
It seemed as if Chaos had tried to usurp law once again. Like children playing "Lord of the Mountain" Chaos began its attempt to shove Law off. Of course, Law fought back. then their friends and rivals joined in, Evil and Good, the both. A child's game indeed!
The tremors ceased when all realized the hill was unattainable today. Once again Neutrality prevailed, its reason keeping the others at bay. Like the eldest of a group of wild children, Neutrality knows how to keep the others calm and satisfied.
Today's tremor's ceased, tomorrow's will soon begin. And I, Gilean, The Scales of Balance will be here to record them.'
((Its Arcnaus in disguise! Seriously though, I created a second account just to make things easier to run by. Anyways, Kiari said to post this and that she'd check this out tomorrow. Its here waiting for you Kiari, enjoy!))
