She heard the twang of the bowstring, and was back to the form the young deer-centaur had seen her in. In a split-second she flicked her wings and sent the arrow whizzing away millimetres from her.
"Impulsive, aren't we?" she asked, her voice dangerously soft.
Her sword was out in a humming silver arc; it stopped to point at the goat-centaur.
"I haven't harmed you," she said in a louder voice. "Why attack me?"

Jared was quick to nock another arrow, pulling back on the string. He held it there, the wood of the bow creaking slightly from the strength of his arm.
She was threatenning him, therefore he would threaten right back.
"You show your back." he stated, "You disrespectful."
The small deer-centaur blinked, Jared had said a long word. That was a rare occurance.

Haven, also called Dreamer or High-Leap by the others had grown tired of waiting and decided to see who the strabger was. She came in time to see Jared get into a stupid fight. "Strong-Arm no! Let her be, she has not done anything!" Haven said coming out from her hiding place and ignoring Quick-Foot and the stranger as she placed herself in front of Jared and the newcomer. She had made those arrows and knew they would tear through her like tissue paper if he let go out of suprise. "Strong-Arm please put dow your bow!"

She raised an eyebrow slightly in surprise when a female centaur leapt out of nowhere, placing herself between her and the goat-centaur.
Not about to be taken by surprise she changed again, her skin growing a pearly sheen, and scaly. Her canines elongated, the tips peeking through her lips.
What the hell did I do to get myself in such a disgusting position? she wondered to herself.

Jared blinked at Haven, stepping back uncomfortably. He studied her for a while, before placing her to be in his herd, and then promptly growled at her. He knew better than to actually fire the arrow into her, however, for fear of what the woman's circle would do - they might actually lecture him on the finer points of manners.
That was enough reason not to fire on the girl who was also being disres... dis... Oh whatever that word was. It meant something bad anyway, Jared knew that much.
Quick-foot lowered his bow completely and, judging on the situation, thought it best to retrieve an older female from the herd and promptly bolted off.

"You should say sorry Strong-Arm, and you stranger. Then everything will be alright between you." Haven said firmly. Turning back to stare at the stranger as well. "I am Haven, also called Dreamer or High-Leap, this is Jared, or Strong-Arm, he is out tribe leader." Haven said trying to smooth things as much as possible. "The one who left is Quick-Foot. What name do you go by stranger?"

She stared at the centaur Haven for a long time, then resumed her human shape.
"Greetings, Haven," she said softly, placing a hand over her heart and lowering her upper body slightly in respect. "Jared," she added after a second's thought. "I am Shuri. Please forgive me of my intrusion; I did not mean for anything of this kind to happen. If I may I would like to leave. Fraerun is my destination, and I have every intention to arrive there as soon as possible . . . preferably before the storm hits again."

Jared studied the two-legged newcomer, Shuri, for a little while before bowing his head in return to her. He peered down at his hands as he removed the arrow from the bow and placed the sharp projectile back in its quiver. It was then his mind hovered over the word Fraerun once again. By the way she talked about it, it sounded like a place that was safe.
"Shuri take Mi'intarlo tribe to Fraerun." he commanded, the command intended to be a question within his skull.

Haven smiled as things smoothed over but was surprised by Strong-Arm's command. She didn't know about Frearun but she knew that people did not like to take orders from those outside their herd. She was nervous to see what happened next and hoped Quick-Foot would return with one of the wiser tribe members who could handle the situation much better than Dreamer could hope to. Her back hoof chopped up the ground in her nervousness as she waited to see what the stranger would say. "Ah, he not mean to be rude, he just trying to keep herd safe." Dreamer said watching the pair carefully.

((Sorry!! I've been WAY busy ><))
Shuri watched the two of them, mulling over Jared's request.
"I'm not entirely sure your herd will want to be in Fraerun, but if that is what you want, then very well. Follow me."
She let her wings out, the scales glowing faintly in the moonlight. With a powerful stroke she was airborne, and she bowed as best she could in the air.
"Please, lead me to your herd. I will guide you to Fraerun."

"Thank you, for your help! Come on Straong-Arm, she's going to help us!" Haven said cheerfully, leaping back toward the rest of the heard and then stopped to wait for Strong-Arm and Shuri to follow.

Jared gave a grunt at her call, snorting at the centaur before looking at Shuri with an unreadable expression. It was almost as if he didn't know whether to display disgust, thanks or happiness. In the end he settled with a respectful bow, lowering himself onto one foreleg, almost on the knee of the other, and bending over practically double.
"Shuri follow." he commanded before twirling about nimbly and careering off down the muddy slope back towards the herd, the arrow being replaced into the quiver on his back.

Shuri studied the landscape before deciding it would be better to fly. The boggy ground was fine for the native centaurs, but as for her, who was both a stranger and a human here, would most likely twist her ankle. And besides, her wings were already out and she airborne. With easy strokes she followed, watching the running centaurs below as she skimmed the treetops.
As she flew she began to once again contemplate the situation. It was true it would be rude and dangerous for her to just leave, but she wasn't at all convinced that her leading an entire herd of centaurs into Fraerun would be a good idea. Perhaps if she spoke to Haven she'd find a solution.
Drifting down, she flew over Haven. After a moment she spoke softly, so only the female centaur could hear.
"Haven," she said. "I have to confess something. Fraerun is a city. I'm not sure it would be the best course of events to take your entire herd there. I may be wrong, but it's just my wanderer's intuition."

Haven bit her lip. She understood but she didn't think Strong-Arm would. She shook her head worridly. "I don't know what to do, Strong-Arm is a good leader but not best at understanding. You may want to talk to Half-Moon, she is wise and good at handling Strong-Arm."

Shuri nodded. "Please, could you take me to her? I don't want to come on bad terms with Strong-Arm . . . knowing what I know about him, if I lead you in only to have your herd humiliated, he'll probably think I was playing a trick or something."
