((Haha. I win. I got here first. x3))
"Haveing problems of some sort?" Terasha asked upon arriving on the scene. It looked as if there was a pixie on the top of the boat's mast- more than likely the Blue who Blake kept talking about- who was practicing combat moves. Blake's face seemed to have a hint of fear, like a skittish kitten who would run at a word.
He looked over to the girl who'd just appeared beside him. "Heh. Of course not, why would you think that?" He looked once again, though, up at the deadly Faye.

Landing gently on the dock, Luke folded his wings. Yes, this was it. He gazed around at the people and nodded. Rubbing his beard, he frowned. How to approach this. Glancing at Terasha, he nodded. "Hello." He said. "I was.. ah.. sent to join thee on thou quest..." He said, a fiery gleam in his eye. "I hope thee will not deny me."

Terasha looked the newcomer up and down. Messenger, definitely. Odd, moreso. But, the more the merrier. It was odd he'd appeared out of the blue like that... but perhaps he'd heard about them in one of the taverns. News spread fast in Micae. "Well, I guess you'll be welcome. We need all the people we can get." Not many, even in Micae, would want to travel to Tefenus. Everyone there, in the hawk-winged girl's opinion, was either very adventurous and brave or completely and totally nuts. Or both. In her case, she was positive it was the latter of the two.
Blake gave what he thought of as a welcoming smile, but turned out looking like he was about to eat the man who'd just flown in. More people than he'd thought had come along. He hadn't thought this whole thing out at first. Thank the gods that Blue had come along to help. He owed a lot to her for all of this planning and knowing what to do. Perhaps he should have apologized for the comment about her unfayeliness. "She's right about that. Welcome aboard.... er... whatsyer name?" The tiger man raised an eyebrow.
Terasha cut in before Blake embarrassed himself. It had already become obvious that he wasn't the most intelligent of A'Dense's creatures. "I'm Terasha. Terasha Kurash. Some call me Tee. This is Blake." Apparently, Blake had no last name. No matter.

"Excuse me..." came a quiet voice from behind the congregation of various people. Terrace Niteshine pulled a black hood back from her pale face. Her lupine eyes, ringed by dark circles, studied those around her. This had to be the place her mother wanted her to go.
"We're here to join you on your voyage?" Began another voice, deeper, definitely male. A brownish gray-haired man with the ears of a wolf walked forward to stand behind his charge, and Zeke Shadowpaw placed his hand on her shoulder in a gesture of protection. Some of this crew looked a bit dodgy.

Rhapsody peeked out from behind Zeke, nervous about being in such crowds she had kept close to Zeke who was big enough to make his own path through the crowds. Like a shaodw she followed either Zeke or Terrace everywhere now, mostly Terrace. She helped with whatever she could, and tried for all those things she knew she couldn't anyway. Now they were at their destination, Micae capitol of Tyraan. She had never been here before, she didn't do much travel across water. She was awed by the things she saw, but not too much. In her travels she had seen lots of magnificent places. She looked at the people around them, two had wings like her. She wasn't sure who they were but she was more than a little nervous about one, with black wings like herself. She seemed so much like the Kurash whom Rhapsody feared above all. There was also a tiger man, probaly beat-person. And on top of the ship she saw a blue Fae. They were certainly a variety of people here, it scared her but she would not show it, she couldn't look weak!

Terasha noted with interest that the wolf who was apparently a beast-man seemed at first to have another head growing out of his back. This turned out to be actually a young girl, obviously shy. "Well, then," she stopped to glance at the messenger perched above them, "The name's Terasha. Terasha Kurash." She winced at the ironic last name, then continued. "And you're-"
"Zeke Shadowpaw and Terrace Nightshade," Zeke announced with an air of dignity and grace.
Terrace nodded and added, "Zeke is a druid and my protector. I might be of use..." They'd carefully planned what to say. After all, who would believe that Xyla had sent them? And even if they would believe, why would the group want them to know? She looked back at Rhapsody, attempting to communicate that she should introduce herself."
"We should be able to use all those we can get. And it's probably more than a good idea to have a healer of some sort where we're going," Blake growled.
"You know," Terasha said, one eyebrow raised. "You can come out, kiddo."

River had had a refreshing swim and had even gotten to have a conversation with some local dolphins about the waters around here. But now she headed back to the others, she couldn't spend all day playing with friends while there was work to be done! She cam to shallow water and her tail split into two perfectly usable legs, though as with every other time she regrew her legs she was very shaky for the first few minutes as she got adjusted. "Oh hello Terasha! Blake! Who are these- Waaaah!" Rhapsody had tripped on a piece of driftwood and stretching out frantically grabbed the clothes of a man with wings. "Sorry Sorry!" River said as she got back up. "Are you okay? Did I hurt you? Oh am really very sorry!"
Blue noticed a commotion down below on the docks. Humph, serve Blake right if ended up getting killed. Why did Fae have to be seen in just this way. I mean humans, beast-people, all sorts of races were unique but Faes? All air heads. Blue hated the unfairness of it, she was smart, cold, and serious. Blake was more like a Fae than her! She had to admit her least favorite goddess ever was Vina, putting her in a Fae's body. Ironically her favorite goddess would be Exha who she served by killing on demand. Turning back to the others she sighed. They would want to see a person with brains if they really were going to join so she had better get down there. Blake looked like a leader but sure didn't act like one. And again it was ironic, Blue sure as anything didn't look like a leader but she unlike Blake knew how to plan. She took off and landed to hear the 'Princess' apologizing for something. Pity she was the probably the only naiad around, the fact she was so cheerful and helpful annoyed Blue. "So are all of these people going to join us on this hair-brained scheme of your's Blake? Or have you done something showy and are drawing unwanted attention?" Blue said the first part for everyone to hear, but the second was for Blake's ears only. "I am Blue, I am the financier of this little trip and if I find slackers the punisher. And if I hear one comment about Fae tricks then I shall dump you overboard, once we're out in open ocean and you have been tied to the anchor that it is." Blue said the last part all to innocently and made sure to leave the sword she currently had at her waist visible. She had 'borrowed' it while she collected her money when one of her employers said he didn't have the money. Let's just say he no longer owed her anymore, or anyone else except maybe Exha.
Rhapsody winced at he name Kurash. That meant this woman was not only Kurash but of a noble family. She wanted to run away but she didn't want to leave Terrace and Zeke. "Rhapsody Mutt." She mumbled when Terrace motioned for her to introduce herself. She stayed mostly behind Zeke though, she didn't want these people to chase her away and maybe cause problems for Terrace and Zeke when they found out she was a halfbreed.
Dre silently watched everything, calculating the people and what they said. He found it more than a little odd all these people sprang out of nowhere willing to join up without even hearing about the pay or job. Blake receiving an apparently genuine map that showed the way from to the Black Waters from a drow, who were rarely seen. Blake meeting a girl with brains and money who had enough sense of dare-devilry to go along with him. Blake happening to meet maybe the only and certainly most helpful naiad in Micae. Terasha happening to decide to help out the innocent naiad in the big city and thus finding out about the trip and River joining up making her feel like she needed to go to protect her. Dre just happening to be there when Terasha said she was going. This messenger coming out of the blue from what apparently was a long flight and demanding to join their 'quest'. And now these two, three Dre corrected himself seeing the young girl hiding behind the druid. A healer just passing by and deciding to join in? Even Dre, a daring gambler, wouldn't have betted on the odds of all that just happening to happen. Kora was certainly meddling, pulling at the strings of luck and perhaps to make everything go her way like she always did. Maybe even more of the gods were messing in these peoples lives than just Kora for some certainly did not seem like the type who Kora could twist to her use.

"Hey, kid." Terasha strode off behind the wolf-eared man, where the little girl was, leaning down just a tad bit to get to the same level. She'd called herself... what again? Rhapsody Mutt, that was it. She was so quite. And seemed to be freaked out by Terasha, to boot. What was up with that. She tried to smile. "I'm not going to hurt you, I swear. Am I having a bad hair day or something?" She tried to joke, cheer the kid up. Whatever was bothering her, hopefully she'd get over it. Otherwise it was going to peeve the half Kurash the whole trip.
Then her deep sapphire blue eyes followed Dre as she noticed his arrival. She tried not to catch his own green ones. She wasn't going to be caught staring at him!
She straightened up. "What a lovely ragtag bunch this turns out to be."
"They're all coming, or at least acting like it," Blake growled in an almost whisper for no one but Blue. He coughed fakely and made a gesture at the ship and, in a louder tone, yelled out, "I'm going to... er... go check out the ship." He walked towards it, mumbling as he got there. "Yeah, check out the ship. Sure I'll check out the ship. Maybe them I won't be killed on the way there. Or thought of as an idiot..."
Zeke and Terrace were both taken aback by the actions of the naiad, tripping over the Messenger in front of the group. "She's the one who's going to navigate?!" he whispered into his charge's ear. "I don't feel safe about this."
"And you'd rather have mother breathing down our necks, then?" She whispered back seriously. "Just relax." She turned to the Faye addressing them. Terrace had spent a good part of her life on the Western Continent, and this pixie was like none she'd ever seen before. "Blue, then?" she began, "We are going to join this crew. Zeke here is a druid. I can help with..." she searched her mind for anything she was good at. "I can..." Something! Anything! What could she do?! "I will assist him." She finally said it. After all, there wasn't much else Terrace could do. A few odd jobs. Help with cooking, she used to do, until Zeke forbade her from ever touching his food again, which had been quite comical. She finally remembered one thing she was decent at, or so she thought. "And I can fish. If we end up needing it."

Luke raised his chin proudly."I am Luke Brighteye, Messenger of Faith and Friendship." He lowered his body, his alabasster white falcon wings fanning out behind him. "It is a pleasure to meet you."

"And that ragmuffin?" Blue said nodding to the girl Terasha had confronted. "Only those working get on the ship. This mess is our naiad, since we will need one going to and maybe through the Black Waters. If you adventures didn't know."
"I'm River Seacurrent! It's very nice to meet you all, and I am very sorry about tripping on you Mr. Luke Brighteye sir." She bowed to Luke, hoping he would be able to forgive her. "I am very glad you have all joined us on this adventure! And what is fishing?"
"Eh, oh don't worry about that your Majesty. Why don't you go with Blake and get yourself on the ship." As the girl nodded and ran off Dre sighed in relief. "I am Dre Takeme, I would not mention the details of fishing around her. To naiads who can communicate with sea creatures so to them fishing would be like me taking one of you and strangling you, then skined, cut up into tiny pieces, cooked you and served you up for dinner. If we end up needing to fish I suggest she be out of the way."
"Whatever, we may end up doing what you just pictured to us if we don't fish, or even if we do fish and get nothing." Blue said unsympathetically even though she had just suggested one of the most disqusting thing she had ever suggested yet. Still, it was a possibility, canabalism. She had heard what people would be willing to do to live.
Rhapsody was wide-eyed hearing the Faye speak. But turned back to Terasha and tried to hide her wings behind her impossible since they were bigger then her but she knew it was those that gave her away as halfbreed, at least that's what people pointed to before they began to chase or hurt her. "No m'am." She said in response to the question.

((Crap. Wrong account. Oh well!))
Terasha laughed. "I'm not a ma'am. Not civilized enough, you see," she said with a wink. After all, she hadn't been the nobility for years. Now she was the scum of the earth compared to where she'd been before. But the scum of the earth seemd a lot friendlier than those she hung around now.
"Rhapsody works well," Terrace announced sternly. She hadn't brought the girl with her all this way just to be left out at the end. She wasn't going to betray a kid like that. It wasn't right.
For the tired and weary looking figure she was, she still looked so noble, standing straight and proud as she did.
Zeke kept and eye on the conversation between the Faye lady and his charge, turning to speak with the Kurash girl speaking with Rhapsody behind him. "A Kurah? I've never met a Kurash before. Heard they kept to themselves," he commented, one eyebrow raised.
Then it hit Terasha like a ton of bricks. Of course, that must have been it. The kid's prolly never met a Kurash before...
"Hey. I'm not lumped in with that lot. They're not all they were made out to be anymore. Big bunch of jerks, that's what." She refrained from using a more colorful name as a first impression, and with Rhapsody present. Her face was serious, perhaps even angry. Staying on the topic of Kurash any further than her name usually upset her. Not as much as it used to, but it still brought back old memories and broke old wounds not yet fully healed. "I'm a half breed, mind you. Sapphire dragon. That's the part I'm proud of." She tried to fake a smile, but she was still making it clear that she was not to be included in the grouping of Kurash.[/color]

"Half, half breed? Really? And you don't do what, they, tell you to?" Rhapsody spoke up but still rather quietly, as if against her choosing. This was so, so amazingly, Rhapsody could not think up a word to describe her confoundment at the thought this woman was also a half breed like her.
Blue snorted at the thought of the kid working but made no further comment. She wondered if these people could be trusted but they would have to be, no one else had offered to join. Still it unerved her to let these people, some with bounties on their heads, live, work and sleep in close proximony of her. And they would be forced to be around each other alot. There was private rooms for cook and captin, but everyone esle slept in one of two rooms, one for girls and one for guys. Only luxurary ships had individual rooms for crew and passangers and this sure wasn't a cruise down the coast.

"Yeah, kiddo. Only half Kurash. And I hate every last one of them. So can we drop the subject?" she asked with a sigh. Terasha really didn't want to press this any further. But she had to ask. "Why you so interested, anyway? Blaire send you?" At this her voice got an odd quality to it, and quiet. After all, he'd visited her and asked her to come back just recently. No doubt he might try something funny, try to take her by force.
"Shall we be getting on the ship, then?" Terrace asked in her quiet but forceful manner. After all, the sooner they got through this, the sooner Xyla's task was done. Unless of course she or Zeke died. Or both of them. She tried not to think about that...

"Come on then. I'll give you the ungrand tour." Blue walked off toward the ship, she would have flown but for the two non wingeds in the group she walked instead.
"NO! I would never ever EVER!" Rhapsody said suddenly very fierce. She hated Blaire though having never met him. It was he who had made the enforcement of Half Breed laws so strict that before she could speak Rhapsody had been banished and left to die. "I'm, I'm a half breed to. I think I'm Kurash, I was found in the city, but no one is sure."
